SOCIAL & GUEST PROGRAMMES
A social
programme is planned to provide an opportunity for informal contacts and discussions
among the participants. A guest program will be organised to take
advantage of the special atmosphere of the Western Bohemian region - its spas, historical
monuments, and scenic beauty. A post-conference week-end tour to Prague,
the capital of the Czech Republic, will offer the registrants the opportunity
to get acquainted with one of the world's most popular tourist
destinations.
Welcoming
Reception & Opening Ceremony
Welcoming reception will be held for the conference participants at the
"Casino" conference centre on Sunday evening, 14th April 2002,
from 7.00 to 8.30 p.m. The costs of the reception have been included
both in the conference and the accompanying persons registration fees.
The conference opening ceremony will take place during the
reception.
POST CONFERENCE TOUR
The Organising
Committee of the 14th Radiochemical Conference, has organised
for the conference participants a post-conference week-end tour to Prague,
the capital of the Czech Republic. The programme of the Tour includes
two nights in a *** hotel, a boat trip with dinner and music, guided
(English-speaking) walk sightseeing tour of Prague, and an optional
concert or ballet performance. Late tour registration option is expected
to be available at the on-site registration (subject to availability
of accommodation). The programme is as follows:

The Saturday guided sightseeing tour will include all the major
sights of Prague - Charles Bridge, Old Town Square, Prague Castle
(visit to St. Vitus's Cathedral), Wenceslas Square.
To be able to easily move around the city, all participants will
be provided with a three-days public transportation ticket, city and public
transportation maps, and other information materials.
