CONFERENCE PROCEEDINGS

Each conference registrant will receive a Booklet of Abstracts at the on-site registration. Similarly to the previous conference, the full peer-reviewed papers meeting the criteria of the journal will be published as conference proceedings in a peer-reviewed scientific journal and will be distributed to all conference participants at no extra cost. Following the successful completion of the negotiations, the RadChem 2014 Proceedings will be published in the Journal of Radioanalytical and Nuclear Chemistry.
N.B. Presentation of the paper at the conference does not constitute any right to have the paper published in JRNC - the reviewers will strictly stick to the JRNC standards and only a maximum of 100 papers best meeting these standards will appear in the Proceedings!

The authors who prefer to submit their manuscripts to another journals, which would fit better the scope of their work, may feel free to do so. It would be appreciated if such papers include a note "Presented at the 17th Radiochemical Conference (RadChem 2014) held in Mariánské Lázně, Czech Republic, on 11-16 May 2014".

FINAL PAPERS

Dedaline for the submission of full papers extended till the 31st May!

Three hard copies of the full papers will be due at the on-site registration. The maximum length of contributed verbal and poster communications is 20.000 characters (including spaces) including tables and references, plus a reasonable number of figures. The maximum length of plenary and invited lectures is 30.000 characters (defined as above). Electronic versions of the papers (in MS Word or Rich Text Format) must be uploaded to the Indico RadChem 2014 web (My conference, My contributions, open the respective contribution, Manage material, Add new material - you can either upload a file or insert a link to your material) prior to the start of the conference. The papers MUST be formatted following the JRNC requirements (see Journal of Radioanalytical and Nuclear Chemistry, click "Instructions for authors" in the right panel, or download the Instructions from here). Please note that figures are printed exactly as submitted, so special care should be taken to their stylistic and aesthetic features.
Please note that no contribution should be uploaded to the JRNC Editorial Manager submission system before the final version of the paper is approved by the Editorial Team of the Proceedings. Instructions on the submission will be distributed to the authors of the accepted papers in due time.
The Proceedings are scheduled to appear at the end of 2014.
To avoid unnecessary efforts and refusal of your paper, please consider seriously - already before starting to draft your paper - whether your results meet the high standards of JRNC for the originality and complexity of the published papers. As given above, the reviewers will strictly stick to the JRNC standards and only a maximum of 100 papers best meeting these standards will appear in the Proceedings!

VERBAL COMMUNICATIONS

The lecture rooms in the "Casino" conference centre will be equipped with modern projection equipment. The following aids may be used in your presentation:

  • MS PowerPoint presentation files - PPT or PPTX,
  • Presentation files in PDF.

Those using the presentation files are kindly requested to bring them on flash disks and load them into the master computers in the lecture rooms well before the start of the respective sessions. To avoid problems with changing the computers, the authors will not be allowed to use their own computers. Dedicated computers will be available for checking the presentations before loading. For the presentations, MS PowerPoint 2010 or Adobe Reader will be used.

The time allocated to a contributed verbal paper will be 15 minutes (10 minutes presentation plus 5 minutes discussion). Already at this moment, we would like to draw your attention to the fact that the chairpersons will be instructed to strictly adhere to the announced time schedule.

POSTER PRESENTATIONS

The poster presentations will form a constituent part of the specific conference sections. The conditions for publication of full papers based on the poster presentations will be identical with those for the publication of verbal communications.

The authors are kindly required to mount their posters onto the panels before the start of the morning sessions of the appropriate day. All the posters will be on display for the whole day. The author(s) attendance at their presentations is requested during the time specified in the Programme Overview.

The dimensions of the poster panels will be 100 x 200 cm, portrait oriented. The posters should be attached to the panels with pins, since the panel surface will not allow the use of any stickers. The authors are strongly advised to balance the amount of the text displayed with the letter size, colours, and size of figures and tables so as to enable the readers easy orientation in the displayed material even from a distance of at least 150 cm.

For those interested, print of posters will be provided by the organisers until one week before the conference for 20 EUR (tax included; price for A0 format i.e.: 841 × 1189 mm). This printing service can be ordered during the registration. The poster should be in PDF or JPG formats and should be sent to the address mareskam@fjfi.cvut.cz by Wednesday, May 7.
